Paul Sutton Bourbon’s Private Barrel Program offers customers the highest level of choice, customization, and unparalleled personalization. Select a barrel produced from our family’s century old mash recipe, aged a minimum of six years and bottled at barrel strength.

How it works

Step 01

OPTION A: Off-site Selection
This private barrel experience starts with our Head Distiller selecting samples from barrels aged a minimum of 6 years, which is then sent to your doorstep. When you have found the barrel with just the right tasting notes and flavors, we’ll bottle at cask strength, label, and send your way.

OPTION B: In Person
We welcome you to the distillery to select your private barrel in Bardstown. On the big day you will enjoy an exclusive, private and personalized tour of our distillery before joining our experts in the rick house and thieving from 3 barrels to taste and select your personal barrel. We can arrange lunch in the rick-house or on-site restaurant.

Step 02

Personalization

Our award-winning custom bottle will include a leather neck strap with the words “Private Barrel” embossed in the leather. The leather strap is detachable and a collector’s item. We handwrite the proof /ABV on the front of the bottle and the barrel number and date the bottled was barreled on the back.

You can also add an additional custom label! Send us your logo or thoughts on a custom label and our design team will mockup your custom label and send to you for approval.

Step 03

Timing

Our dedicated team can send samples within weeks of being requested. Distillery and rickhouse experiences require at-least 4-weeks notice.
